The NBFL Scholarship was created to honor that journey.

Each year, we invite students who’ve been impacted by family law matters—whether through  their parents’ divorce or guardianship changes—to share their stories and aspirations. We’ve  been privileged to hear how these young individuals transformed hardship into hope, turning  personal adversity into academic ambition.

To be considered, applicants submit a heartfelt essay along with academic details and personal  achievements. But more than that, they share their story—how family law has shaped their path  and what they plan to do with the opportunity ahead.
